Beyond the Basics Scrapbooking Workshop
Join us to make FOUR 12"x12" scrapbook pages featuring papers and embellishments from the NEW "Spring Farmhouse" line from Simple Stories. This line features soft, springy pastels and fresh florals paired with metal hues and rustic woodgrain which we'll blend together for pages that will be perfect for documenting your favorite memories of home sweet home! Learn to combine various pattern papers, page elements, chipboard shapes, clips, and other embellishments to create four warm and cohesive pages. Along with your Basic Kit, you may want to bring an Ink Applicator with foam and Distress Ink Pads (greens, yellows, browns and/or blacks). All the supplies to make the project will be included (a $28 value).

Intro to Origami - Beginner Gift Boxes 
Join us to learn to create a traditional Japanese Origami Masu Box and Lid from 12" paper. You will learn fundamental folding techniques and how to read Origami diagrams. This traditional Japanese box is perfect for gift giving. We will be using one sheet of paper for the bottom and another for the lid, allowing you to mix patterns, solids, and colors to suit your tastes. We will be making 2 boxes; one using 12" paper and another using 6" paper (time permitting). Origami Diagrams and Terminology will be explained in simple terms. You will receive a set of diagrammed instructions for the Masu Box and a guide sheet to understanding the symbols to take home. You will be able to make as many boxes as you wish for years to come without the need to memorize the steps.  Please bring two pieces of 12" patterned paper, available at Scrapper's Edge. If you have a bone folder, bring that also.

How to Make Comics in One-Day Workshop
Class Fee:  Siding Scale Tuition -- $25, $40, $55, $75  --  Please pay what you can. If you can pay extra, please do. It will help support these comic/manga courses.
Have you ever wanted to make a comic but didn't know where to start? Are you an artist who wants to try something new? Try this workshop! Illustrator Kelly Myers will guide you through the process from sketching out an idea to laying it out and inking. By the end of the class, students will have a page to copy and distribute or take home and covet. Some supplies will be provided. Please bring a pencil, kneaded eraser and sketch paper.

Let it Shine CrafterNoon Card Class
Learn how to create a fun sunburst design on your cards in this class. This is a fabulous way to use up your scraps from projects too! One card will be featuring a monochromatic color palette and a second card will feature the Avery Elle stamp called Toucan party. You will be using some fun tropical paper for a sunburst on this card. You will have supplies to make 3 cards. Be sure to bring your paper trimmer for this class. Along with your Basic Kit, please bring Distress Brushed Corduroy ink pad, blending tool/foam, dimensional foam adhesive and colored pencils or Copics for simple coloring.

Crazy about Copics: Blending Basics (Beginning)
Back by popular demand!!!  Copic Sketch markers are alcohol-based markers that are very popular!  Take this class to learn about the Copic marker labeling system, blending techniques and other Copic basics.  And, best of all, make two cards utilizing your new techqniques!  Please bring any Copic markers and supplies you have, a black memento ink pad, and your basic kit.  You may want to bring your favorite stamps with images that are good for coloring.

Intro to Origami 2:  Rectangular Masu Box and Lid
This class will teach you how to make a rectangular variation of the traditional square Masu Box. This box is larger than the traditional square, making it ideal for many gifts. This class can be taken as your first Origami Class, requiring no experience, or you can deepen your understanding of how Origami works by taking it after Class 1. You will be given a complete set of diagrams to take home, so you will be able to make as many of these boxes as you desire. Please bring a bone folder and 2 sheets of thin 12"x12" paper, one for the base and one for the lid. This model will only reveal one side, so no need for double-sided paper. There are manyexcellentt choices to choose from before class, so come a bit early and shop.

Easter Treat Poppers    
Delight a special person with these adorable candy treat poppers. Join us to create these poppers using a Treat Popper die and We R Memory Keepers Candy Punch Board. Fill your poppers with sweet treats wrapped in frilly tissue. Each student will assemble and embellish 3 treat poppers featuring the Doodle Bug design Easter Express paper. You will learn how to create rosettes and embellish your popper with a Happy Easter banner and die cut bunny, each finished with a ribbon tied enclosure. Instructor will also demonstrate how to create treat poppers using the Lawn Fawn Candy Box die. Along with your basic kit bring any sentiments or special treat you would like to include in your box. The following additional supplies will be available in the class but please bring these items if you have them in your kit: glue gun, Wink of Stella, Tim Holtz Distressed Ink – Tattered Rose or Spun Sugar, Envelope Punch Board and Candy Box Board.

Manga/Anime Drawing Course for Ages 10-17
This class is designed for artists/students who love to draw. Young artists will be inspired to see how simple it can be to draw interesting and imaginative characters in Manga drawing style while also being encouraged to develop their own style of drawing. The minimum supplies that students should bring to class include a pencil (mechanical or number 2), a kneaded eraser and a sketchbook. Other suggested supplies include colored pencils, Copic Markers, or a watercolor set; .05 Micron Black pen, and other sizes of Micron pens.

Blooming Flower Pots - CrafterNoon Class
You will bloom with creativity using the fun Wendy Vecchi "Making Art" Flower Pot set. There are so many ways to combine these fun stamps, dies and stencils. The techniques will most definitely encourage your "green thumb" althought that green may be from the ink you are using! You will need to bring any watercolor medium you would like to use such as paint, markers, pencils or Distress inks. Bring any sentiments that you may want to use on your card as well. Other things to bring, along with your Basic Kit, include a detail brush or waterbrush, dimensional foam tape and matte medium.

Take your coloring to the next level!  Learn tips and tricks for coloring bushes/foliage. Learn how the proper use of color will create depth in your colored creations. Supplies to create two cards will be provided. Please bring all your Copic pens, adhesive (including foam dots), scissors and a paper trimmer.  Don't forget your colorless blender pen!

Are you ready to get crazy about coloring flowers and leaves? Then, this is the class for you! Learn basic Copic techniques as well as some advanced tips for making your flowers look more dimensional and realistic. You'll color a basic, simple flower as well as a more detailed flower. Using the wonderful new Wendy Vecchi "Flowers Say it All" stamp, die and stencil set, we will create 3 cards. Our first card will add shape to the edge of the card using the floral die. The second card is a dreamy watercolor card using the included stencils. The thrid card features an exciting dimensional background created using stamps and dies to make a beautiful floral garden. You won't believe how fun and easy it is to create with this all-in-one stamp set. Join us for a fun, creative afternoon! Intro to Origami 3: Masu Box with a Window
This class will teach you how to turn a single sheet of square paper into a Masu box with a window on top. There is no experience needed for this class. It is an extension of the previous classes though and taking them will help you understand more about the processes of Origami Box making. We will be folding 2 boxes in this class, one large box using 12" paper and one medium box using 6" paper. This model works well with double-sided paper displaying the other side inside the box. Please bring a bone folder and a sheet of 12" paper and a sheet of 6" paper or choose from the vast selection at Scrapper's Edge before the class. You will be given diagrams to take home so you will be able to make this box many times in the future.

Class participants must be at least 12 years old, with the exception of designated children's classes. Exceptions may be made by talking to the instructor. Due to space limitations, we cannot allow guests or observes for classes, including pets. (Service animals are welcome. Please let us know if you will need a service animal so we can seat you in an area that will be comfortable for everyone in attendance.)

Class content/prices, etc. subject to change, although not likely. Confirm content and price when making reservations. 

If you are interested in a private class, let us know. We love conducting private classes and can accommodate your ideas and budget.

What is a Crop or Open Craft?  For those who love to craft, a Crop is a fun event to attend. It is a great time to gather with friends and other crafting enthusiasts to share ideas, learn new techniques and get focused on your projects. You don't have to be a scrapbooker to enjoy crops; many of our guests work on other projects like card making, altered art, and DIY projects. When attending a Crop, you will need to bring supplies that will keep you busy. Many guests will bring totes or bags filled with paper, scissors, trimmers, adhesive, photos, albums, etc. We have various stamps, stencils, punches and dies you can also use. Plus, you can shop at our store during the event. At Crops, each person gets a six-foot table to use so there is plenty of room to spread out and get creative!
