requirement is that they’re 2.5”x3.5”. They can be used just to collect or
can be used on cards, scrapbook pages and other craft projects! Stop by the
store to see examples and join the fun! The Main Swap for this month
is "Oriental / Asian" and the Optional Swap is "School
Days"
The
Scrapper’s Edge ATC Club meets the 2nd Monday of every month. The cost is
only $5 and you do not have to participate in the swap. If you want to
participate in the swap, bring the number of cards that you want to swap.

rhinestones we will transform an ordinary Altoids mint tin into an

Last month we learned the basics, now lets get
some color and texture on our stamped art. We will explore heat
embossing, and the different kinds of embossing powders, stamping with
paints, pens, specialty inks, colored pencils, and more. We will do
lots of hands-on practice and finish with a make-and-take project.
Bring your basic kit. All stamping supplies will be provided.

Learn Alcohol Resist with Alicia |

Learn how to create
cool customized accents using this super fun alcohol resist technique.
Using a
combination of Adirondack alcohol inks (gotta love those beautifully
saturated colors), an assortment of
smooth surfaced embellishments (think Heidi Swapp Ghost shapes and
American Crafts
plastic, just to name a few), and fun
rubber stamp images,
you'll learn a technique that's so much fun you'll want to do it over and
over again! You'll receive an assortment of items on which to perfect
this technique as well as the supplies to create four roughly 5"x7" pieces
that you can then use as either freestanding mini masterpieces, the fronts
of cards, part of a larger work such as a scrapbook page, or as an entry
into an art journal or
other work. But you must be warned: fingertips will get dirty!
So hurry and reserve your spot today!

Learn how to make a perfectly symmetrical
polymer clay focal bead using the bead rolling system. Class
Participants will also learn wire jewelry basics such as: simple eye
pins, fancy loops and coiled wire findings. These skills will be used
to created a stunning pendant-accented with with Swarovski Crystal Beads.
Ooohh la la!
All skill levels welcome! No
experience necessary! Please bring a pasta machine if you have one and
the following items: an acrylic roller, a clay blade and a craft
knife. All other matierls will be provided. Bring your sweet

| Scrapbooks etc. is
partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to hold a “Scrap Pink”
fundraising campaign in September 2008 at independent retail stores across
North America. The campaign will culminate in an exciting on-site crop
hosted by each participating shop the weekend of September 26–28, 2008. At
this event, scrapbookers like you can create layouts and projects on any
topic you choose. Ten dollars of your crop fee will support Komen for
the Cure’s promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering
people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the
cures.
This will be a fun event where $10 of the Crop
fee will be donated to Susan G Komen for the Cure. In addition,
10% of our sales will be donated locally to the Humboldt Community Breast
Health Project.

Learn the basics of photo
safety, photo cropping and matting, and using a personal paper trimmer while
making 1 or 2 pages. Bring 3 or more photos you’d like to scrapbook and any
embellishment sand papers you already have. Bring your scissors, favorite
adhesive and a personal paper trimmer (if you have one). *Cost is $5 plus
whatever supplies you need from the store to complete your page(s). |

For all classes, please bring the basics—scissors, adhesive & a personal paper
trimmer. (Exceptions will be noted in the class descriptions!)
For more information about the classes, call or stop by! Reservations
and PAYMENT for classes must be made at least 48 hours in advance (so
the instructors have time to prepare!) Reservations may be cancelled by
phone or in person until 48 hours before the class in order to receive a refund.
Class participants must be at least 12 years old, with the exception of
designated children's classes. Due to space limitations, we cannot allow
"guests" or "observers" for classes, including pets.
What is a Crop? A crop is a fun time
where we gather in our classroom to work on whatever we want to! Attendees
bring their tools and supplies and have time to devote to their projects without
the typical interruptions that are often found at home. Scrapper's Edge
provides snacks, food & beverages. It's amazing how much everyone
learns from each other during these fun, social events! The Crops fill up
quickly, so if you're interested in attending, don't delay!
Class content/prices, etc subject to change, although not likely.
Confirm content and price when making reservations.
If you're interested in a private class, let us know! We love conducting
private classes and can accommodate your ideas and budget!
