Smash Bash Workshop: Paints, Stamps & Stuff!!!

Create lovely layers using paints, stamps and stuff! Even though SMASH books are already pretty neat on their own, lets add some more party to the page and make them down right splendiferous! We will make friends with gesso, become fans of acrylic gel medium, and even create a gell transfer to add to our book! Get read to make backgrounds that pop, be prepared to become the talk of the town! Bring your SMASH book, scissors, adhesive, etc. as well as any rubber stamps and ink you would like to use in your book. Also, bring any small pictures, mementos and epherma that you'd like to incorporate into your SMASH book. (Permanent ink will work best for this project!)

If you’re in love with scrapbooking AND in love with someone special, this is the class for you! We will be making a fabulous love-themed page that can be used for photos of your special Valentine or for wedding or anniversary photos. Starting with the “Be Mine” paper collection from Echo Park, we’ll add a little love with punches, ink and embellishments. You’ll cherish this page so much that you’ll want to display it in a shadow box on your wall! Please bring pink and black ink and three 2”x3” photos, along with your basic kit. Please note: we’ll complete one page in class and you’ll receive enough supplies to complete a complimentary page at home!

Smash Bash Workshop: Templates & Masks

Let's use templates and masks in new, exciting ways. In this workshop, we will explore positive & negative shapes using masks and stencils. Whether you use commercially-made stencils, cut your own with a craft knife, or use the Cricut to cut them, you can achieve impressive results! Bring any stencils you may want to use along with your favorite inks & acrylic paints. Also, bring any small pictures, mementos and epherma that you'd like to incorporate into your SMASH book.

Smash Bash Workshop: Journaling with some Doodles on the side!

Lets smash some of our thoughts down on paper. I have been gathering lots of journal prompts and ideas, and I'm looking forward to getting my pen on the page! (I hope you are too!) I am thinking gell pens, glitter pens, crayons, microns, markers and more. Lets freehand some fabulous fonts. We will practice writing in fancy and funky styles as well as expand our doodling repertoire. I may even introduce you to a mini mandala or zentagle just to shake things up. Fabulous fun will be had by everyone. Please bring your SMASH book and any pens you fancy writing and doodling with!
Also, bring any small pictures, mementos and epherma that you'd like to incorporate into your SMASH book.

Stencils, Paste, Paint, Oh My! It's time to play mixed media style. While starting with stencils and modeling paste to add 3-D designs to our pages, we will kick it up a notch by applying ink, glitter glue and embellishments! Crops are SO much fun! They're a time when paper crafters get together, work on whatever they want to work on, share the class room tools, socialize, and learn from one another. Scrapper's Edge provides food and beverages.
To accommodate as many customers as possible, we offer a variety of Crop formats:

Sign up early for Crops; they fill up fast! We have space for 19 people. You'll have the entire store to shop at during the Crop and have access to all the classroom tools (including Cricut and Sizzix diecut machines). For all classes, please bring the basics—scissors, adhesive & a personal paper trimmer. (Exceptions will be noted in the class descriptions!)
For more information about the classes, call or stop by! Reservations and PAYMENT for classes must be made at least 48 hours in advance (so the instructors have time to prepare!) Reservations may be cancelled by phone or in person until 48 hours before the class in order to receive a refund. Class participants must be at least 12 years old, with the exception of designated children's classes. Due to space limitations, we cannot allow "guests" or "observers" for classes, including pets.
What is a Crop? A crop is a fun time where we gather in our classroom to work on whatever we want to! Attendees bring their tools and supplies and have time to devote to their projects without the typical interruptions that are often found at home. Scrapper's Edge provides snacks, food & beverages. It's amazing how much everyone learns from each other during these fun, social events! The Crops fill up quickly, so if you're interested in attending, don't delay!
